prehistoric times
Week 2:
Students learned about humans living during the Paleolithic and Neolithic times. They learned about the Ice Age, what Archaeology means and the importance of that field, why humans lived nomadic lifestyles, and how geography affected the development of early settlements.
Week 3:
Students will be creating their own civilizations this week! Using the information they have learned the first two weeks of school of the 6 basic features of a civilization, with a partner they will be creating their own and will be presenting their posters to the class on Friday. Students will work with their partners to decide where to move to, what crops and animals they will domesticate, the type of government they will have, what public works building they will construct, and how they will interact with neighboring settlements.
Students took a quiz on Monday, and will take another quiz this coming Monday August 23 based on pages 1, and 3-6 in their green notebooks.
